My husband and I have been going to Bar Harbor every Memorial and Labor Day weekend for 15 years, staying in various places. About 6 years ago we discovered the Aurora Inn, what a treasure! Perfect location, the rooms are small but cozy and amazingly clean. The locations can't be beat, just enough out of the way of the hustle and bustle closer to town, yet a very lovely walk there, only about 5 or 6 minutes. Jerry is the perfect host, friendly and helpful. We will be staying there for the next 15 years! (Maine) |

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Aurora Inn. We had a king room which was large, clean, and had an extremely comfortable bed. It was well within walking distance of all that the town of Bar Harbor has to offer, and very convenient to Acadia National Park. We will definitely be staying there again. (Richmond VA) |

We blindly chose the Aurora Inn for our first visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP and we really were not disappointed. The location was perfect for us and we appreciated the ease of parking and walking distance to everything that we wanted to do and see within Bar Harbor...Our room was spacious and it was important to us to have a microwave and small fridge. The manager (Jerry) was friendly and full of information. We arrived with the intention of having a great adventure and left knowing that we would return for another visit at the Aurora Inn and further adventures. (Woodstock VT) |

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Aurora Inn and will definitely stay there again. The rates are more than reasonable, the staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating, and the location is perfect; the Aurora is an easy 10-minute walk to the shops and restaurants yet it's far enough away from the traffic noises of the main streets so you don't hear a thing. The inn was so quiet that we felt like we were the only people staying there, but it was actually quite busy. In-room internet access is a plus, and the Acadia Cafe, a 2-minute walk up the street, serves excellent breakfasts. (New England) |

When I booked my trip three months in advance, I was very disappointed to learn that my favorite motel was not available, but when my friend and I arrived at the Aurora Inn, we were more than pleased. The room was huge and impeccably clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The motel is located right in the heart of the residential area of Bar Harbor. Jerry, the manager, was as friendly as can be. I had some very nice chats with him, as he is extremely knowledgeable re: everything Bar Harbor. The ice machine was always loaded---didn't have to beg for ice like you do at some of the "mom and pops". The Aurora Inn guests even have pool privileges at the nearby Quality Inn. I highly recommend the Aurora Inn to anyone who wants a real nice room for a real nice price in Bar Harbor. I know I'll be bringing my wife here on our next trip to Maine in two years. This was just the place for us. When booking our room we spoke with Jerry the manager. His description of the rooms and location to the downtown area were accurate to the last detail. His personality was even better in person than on the phone. If you are looking for good clean comfortable rooms and great service, this is the place for you. The rates were great. We really can't complain about anything except that we had to leave and go home. We will be telling all our friends and family about the Aurora Inn. We will be back. (Maine) |
